It's not an agenda. It's clear that people wanted a "sunnier" Superman, and brighter world. It's a fact.

Also, I'm guessing me, and others, have been defending the movie because, if you've not noticed, if not for us who found things to enjoy in the movie, talking about it, and creating a counter to the negativity, all forums would be filled with is negativity, and people damning the DCEU two movies in. So yeah, stop act like you guys are being attacked all the time, when there's clearly FAR more negativity about it. People condemning DCEU movies before they're even filmed, and acting like Snyder is directing every movie, and/or has absolute control over every movie. Reshoots of SS are announced, and what do you see? People saying that the movie is now trash (only to love the new trailer a week later), as if reshoots don't happen for every movie.

WW is said to be a "pretty dark" movie, and people freak out saying that Snyder's ruined it....even tho it takes place in WWI.

Snyder describes, with logical reason, why Superman ignores cries for help, on a daily basis, and people scream that he doesn't "understand" Superman. Even Jon Schepp says that Superman would never not save as many as he could, all the time....but then he wants more talking scenes from Supes, when every second Supes would be talking there would be people are dying, right? It's like people can't comprehend that for Supes to have a life, he has to STOP saving lives.

So yeah, if we're defending it too much, it's because stupid arguments, and nitpicks, are unfairly tearing the movie down.

On another thread, some dude is saying that Superman should've just given the spear to WW....a woman he doesn't know, in anyway. I thought people wanted a Supes that's a shield, and "symbol of hope", but now they also want him to potentially send someone else to their death, in his place? These people can't make up their damn minds.

 

True superman fans, answer this question? If your so upset that superman got beat by batman. Are you this hurt when lex, intergang or toyman beats him. Are you pissed when metallo beats him? I mean he could just melt some lead on to the centre where the kryptonite is and end the fight. He could heat blast from the distance

Let's get this straight, superman had feats but why o why must all his powers be on show. Why must he catch all the villians? Does he do it that in his own comic? No, some of his enemies get away. Batman surprised superman, do you think that he knew that that grenade was kryptonite? The second time he was hit, was he fully strength to mis a hit like that? Also in the beginning he wasn't trying to outright beat batman, just show him the fight was pointless.

Superman gripe with batman was that he felt like he was targeting a certain fraction, he felt batman took it to far. He didn't actually have a beef in the same way batman had it in for him.

Superman to many people is overpowered, and could one day switch sides. Where at the beginning of his career, where we and him don't know the full extant of his abilities. In superman the animation when he first saved people, they compared him to an angel. So comparing him to god isn't a far stretch, he destroy several building with ease. People are going to be scared and in awe of him

In various other adaptions of superman, people love him from the get go. No one is questioning him, but if no one question his motives, why would you question darksied if he said he came to save the earth?

These question have to be posed to make a believable cinematic world that continues to grow. Superman did mope around, he wasn't happy but maybe after coming back from his death he may appricate life a bit more. As many have said, not every question has to be answered in one film if a next one is being made.

I feel like this film is getting to much flak for being different. Everyone knew DC had to be different from marvel. They had to pose other ideas to be different.

Let's take marvel first few films, did marvel pose any question in iron man, Thor or captain america about what it takes to be a hero. Tony stark just needed a suit to escape and be alive, and became a hero because people were misusing his shit. Thor needed to be selfless, captain america needed to keep true to who he was even with great power. All those question are being posed in one film to superman and more. Why can't he be mopey, this stuff is new to him. The pressure is new. An remember he's emotion. He trying to have all this expectations on his back.

Superman has always been a sucker for lois so him always saving her is nothing new. He could go find his mother but he's got limited time and knows luthor could easily still kill his mum, people were watching. An come to think of it, if superman could do all the things people say, why doesn't he do it. Its like why doesn't batman kill the joker, why does superman have trouble with any enemy. Seriously he could the vast amount villians in the DC world. There's a reason, its called making a story.

An even superman needs help, that why the make justice league.

Deep down everyone know why they disliked the film. They expected a marvel film. This was a good film, not the best, cut it some slack.

Again is ant man better then this, is age of ultron, is Thor 1 and two? Captain America 1. Is hulk? I didn't like guardian of the galaxy, that was straight dumb, the end fight was stupid, but critics loved it. Just how things go
