Playing Devil's Advocate Here

Is it wrong to want to see a version of this  where it's a full on argument with the parents?

I mean, picture this from their perspective: A costumed weirdo and a couple of thugs just broke into their house, damaged their property, assaulted their son, told him to screw off when he asked for his lawyer and then fucking tazed him before abducting him to a secret prison.

Traditionally speaking? That's SuperVillain behavior.

There are hundreds of ways they could've handled this, they could've even sat down with the kid and talked him out of it or informed the police or his parents or something, but they didn't.

I'm not excusing what he was doing either, not at all, there is no excuse for attempting  to blow up a school, but the kid still deserved his rights regardless.

Again, if they'd gone through proper channels, or even just talked it out, I'd be fine with it, but the way it went down just felt wrong.

EVEN THEN! You could've done a lot with the fallout of Carol's Prison, namely hundreds of lawsuits from people they abducted and or imprisoned and public opinion doing a 180 on them.

Well anyway, I hope this made some sense.
